Born out of a Scottish-based workshop this sunnies are made from pressed hemp. The process for making these sunglasses carefully considers the impact it may have on the natural environment. Bio-based and organic products are used to treat and finish the frames. All 'wasted' hemp is upcycled and used for a personalised hemp case, hemp pouch, hemp key ring and hemp paper comp slip. Yes #hemplife is here.
Hemp is used as a sustainable alternative. This plant has extremely resilient properties, which allows crops to grow on poor soils with minimal water and no pesticides required. Hemp fibres can be harvested after 3 months, in comparison to typically harvested trees which take upto 20 years and require significantly more energy to grow.
So if you are on the lookout for some eye shade, check these bad boys out. If you get sick of em' light them up. Maybe not.
